ProofloopBot
ProofloopBot is the program Proofloop uses to read web pages. It identifies itself as Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; ProofloopBot/1.0; +https://proofloop.in/bot).
What it reads, and why
- Sites of businesses that use Proofloop, when they ask: a weekly site health check (broken pages, missing titles, speed), and page checks before they publish a fix.
- One public page of a business or news site, when a Proofloop customer looks into it as a possible client, partner or press contact: usually the home page, to read what the business does and its public contact details.
- Free AI-visibility checks of a site someone enters on our home page.
How it behaves
- It follows
robots.txt. To keep it out, add:User-agent: ProofloopBot Disallow: /
- It reads gently: at most 25 pages every 5 minutes per site, 5 at once. It never logs in, never fills in forms, and only reads public web addresses.
- It doesn't collect personal data beyond what a business publishes as its contact details.
